Origin: Cobán, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala Varietal: Caturra Process: Washed
Santa Isabel is a family-run farm located in the region of Alta Verapaz, where the climate is cool with plenty of rainfall and the rainforest is lush and dense. The Valdés family who own the farm cares a lot about preserving their natural environment in order to preserve natural water resources and local fauna habitats, dedicating one-third of their farm to a natural forest reserve.
The rest of their farm is dedicated to coffee production, where they grow Caturra and Catuaí varieties. Every harvest season, after the red coffee cherries are picked, they are sorted and graded at the wet milling station, which is located on the farm. After that, they go through the wash process and then dried. This espresso roast has buttery macadamia mouthfeel, with notes of pomegranate and vanilla.
We roast every Wednesday and ship every Thursday.
