This coffee is grown in the village of Idido, in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. This region has a red-brown clay soil, about 1.5 metres deep. An interesting fact about Ethiopia is that it's known to be the "birthplace" of Arabica coffee. But there is so much more to love about this country as a producing nation, including the diverse flavour and character that comes from the coffee grown in the microregions, specifically in Yirgacheffe. Most coffee in this area is shade-grown by small producers, using organic practices.
In the cup, this coffee tastes like yellow nectarine and almond, with vanilla undertones.
We roast every Wednesday and ship every Thursday.
