Origin: Huye District, Rwanda Varietal: Red Bourbon Process: Washed
Cyarumbo Peaberry is a very special micro-lot coffee, produced by 274 female farmers, who grow their coffee on small farms in the hill surrounding Cyarumbo washing station in Rwanda. These women are members of a cooperative called Abahuzamugambi Ba Kawa Maraba Cooperative (or ‘Maraba’ in short). The cooperative has consistently been recognised for their quality, including Cup of Excellence awards in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015. This coffee has a strong depth of flavour, with notes of plum and orange, completed with honey sweetness.
By purchasing and enjoying this coffee, you are supporting a good cause 'Supporting Strong Women', a campaign to celebrate and promote the incredible work of the Rambagirakawa women's group in Rwanda. Click here to learn more about the campaign.
