Cyarumbo is a very special micro-lot coffee, produced by 274 female farmers, who grow their coffee on small farms in the hill surrounding Cyarumbo washing station in Rwanda. These women are members of a cooperative called Abahuzamugambi Ba Kawa Maraba Cooperative (or ‘Maraba’ in short). The cooperative has consistently been recognised for their quality, including Cup of Excellence awards in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015. This coffee has notes of marmalade and golden raisin, completed with a honey-like sweetness.
