Tastes like strawberry and milk chocolate, with black tea finish.
Origin: West Arsi, Sidama, Ethiopia Variety: Local landrace and JARC varieties Process: Natural
This lot of coffee is grown near the local village of Werka, located in Ethiopia's West Arsi zone. The coffee was processed using the natural method at Gara Kone washing station, which is owned and managed by Testi Coffee, a family-owned company founded by Mr Faysel A. Yonis.
Gara Kone washing station produces some exceptional natural coffees. There are around 200 workers working at the washing station, who process about 1.5 million kilograms of coffee cherry every year. During harvest season, they receive freshly picked coffee from 750 to 800 independent growers every day.
In the cup, this coffee brings out notes of strawberry and milk chocolate, with black tea finish.
We roast every Wednesday and ship every Thursday.
