  • 2014

  • With the opening of Slater St. Bench, BENCH began with a simple principle: to create a seamless connection between staff and customers.

  • 2015

  • This vision extended further in 2015 with the launch of 580 Bench along St Kilda Road.

  • 2019

  • BENCH introduced SAINT DREUX, a kissaten-inspired concept known for its design and premium katsu sandos. The venue was later shortlisted for the Eat Drink Design Awards – an achievement that highlighted the strength of its concept despite its compact, food-court setting.

    Six months later, BENCH COFFEE CO. was launched to bring the entire coffee process
    under one roof. From meticulous green bean selection to precision roasting, BENCH COFFEE CO. was built on the pursuit of quality and control.

  • 2021

  • In 2021, the flagship espresso bar, BENCH COFFEE CO. – Lt. Collins, opened in Melbourne’s CBD. Designed as both a beautiful space and a showcase of curated coffee, the store embodies the company’s dedication to quality and innovation.

  • 2022

  • A year later, BENCH COFFEE CO. – Brunswick Roastery was established, serving as a dedicated roastery, brew bar, and collaborative workspace, in partnership with Little Cardigan Bakery. Housing the company’s offices and Loring roaster, it became a central hub for production, learning, and hospitality.

  • As BENCH COFFEE CO. continues to grow, its foundation remains the same: a commitment to coffee excellence, thoughtful design, and genuine hospitality.
