Ayla washing station is located in Ethiopia's Sidama zone, in the village of Bombe. The washing station became a part of the Testi group in 2016 and now serves about 375 smallholder farmers in the area. These producers own an average of 2.5 hectares and grow local varieties, such as Mikicho and Setami. Typically farmers in this region grow their coffee organically, as they don't have access to and therefore do not utilize fertilizers or pesticides in the production of coffee.
Ayla is a good example of unique nature of coffee grown in this area, it's both vibrant and juicy. In the cup, this coffee has notes of blueberry and mandarin, with jasmine tea finish.
We roast every Wednesday and ship every Thursday.
