This natural process microlot was handpicked and selected by eleven smallholder farmers in the Yirgacheffe coffee growing region of Gedeo, Ethiopia.
Cultivating on small plots of land, over 2430 metres above sea level, these growers deliver their ripe coffee cherries to the Chorso Bule wet mill, where they are processed.
The high altitudes of the region lead to a slower maturation of the cherries, increasing the development of sugars and acids, and overall complexity of the final cup.
In the cup, this coffee tastes like golden kiwi and persimmon, with a honey-like sweetness.
