This coffee was produced by the Gutiérrez family in Taipiplaya, a remote township on the outskirts of the Caranavi province. Caranavi is the epicentre for specialty production in Bolivia, with incredibly high elevations, rich soil, and wide daily temperature ranges providing the perfect conditions to produce exceptional coffee.
This coffee was produced using the mosto washed method, where liquid from coffee cherry fermentation is collected and added back to a new batch of coffee during processing, to aid in fermentation and flavour development.
In the cup, this coffee tastes like milk chocolate and orange marmalade, with hazelnut undertones.
