This washed coffee comes from the Hadeso washing station, a privately-owned mill in Ethiopia’s Guji zone, operated by Faysel A. Yonis. Around 500 smallholder outgrowers contributed to this lot, farming on tiny plots at high elevations near 1,950 m above sea level.

Cherry is meticulously hand-picked, sorted and graded before pulping, fermented, washed, and dried slowly on raised beds to highlight clarity and sweetness.

In the cup, this coffee tastes like apricot and lemon, with a chrysanthemum tea finish.
