This coffee was produced by members of the Kibirigwi Farmers Cooperative Society, at the Thunguri wet mill, in Kirinyaga County, Kenya.
The cooperative has been operating since 1953, running nine wet mills in the region, and consists of almost 7000 members.
Coffee cherries are handpicked, sorted for ripeness, and processed via the washed method, using clean water from the nearby Kangocho stream. The coffee parchment was then dried under the sun until reaching optimal moisture content, before being hulled.
In the cup, this coffee tastes like orange and raspberry with a black tea finish.
